Başarılı Yaşlanma Ölçeği (BYÖ) Türkçe Versiyonu

Abstract

Türkçe
’ye çevrilmiş formunu oluşturma, ölçeğin geçerlik ve güvenirliğini
göstermektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırmada tarama yöntemi
kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada ölçek sahibinden, kurumdan yazılı, katılımcılardan
ise sözlü onay alınmıştır. Çalışmanın katılımcılarını Ankara İli Çankaya
İlçesinde yaşayan 60 yaş ve üzeri 151 kadın, 359 erkekten oluşan toplam 510
kişi oluşturmuştur. Veriler 14 maddeden oluşan BYÖ kullanılarak toplanmıştır.
Ölçeğin İngilizce orijinal formunda 3 alt bileşen vardır. Bu alt bileşenler ve
madde sayıları şöyledir: 1. Sağlıklı hayat biçimi (4 madde), 2. Uyumsal başa
çıkma (4 madde), 3. Hayata bağlılık (5 madde), Ölçek Likert tipinde olup 1
(Kesinlikle Katılmıyorum)-7 (Kesinlikle Katılıyorum) arasında
değerlendirilmektedir. Özgün ölçeğin toplam ve alt bileşenlerinin Cronbach Alfa
güvenirlik katsayıları .72-.84 arasında değişmektedir. Verilerin
değerlendirilmesinde güvenirlik için Cronbach Alfa katsayısı ve geçerlik için
bir Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli türü olan Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi (Confirmatory
Factor Analysis) kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Ölçeğin dil geçerliği
çalışmasında uzmanlar tarafından çeviri ve geri çeviri yapılmıştır. İçerik
geçerliği için yedi uzmandan görüş alınmıştır. Modelin uyum indeksleri
doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile hesaplanmış ve model iyi uyum göstermiştir [χ2
(27): 64.993, p < .01; χ2/df: 2.407; SRMR: .0319; RMSEA: .053; NNFI: .960;
IFI: .976; CFI: 976; GFI: .976; AGFI: .951]. Türkçe uyarlama ölçekte Uyumsal
Başa Çıkma ve Hayata Bağlılık faktörleri arasında ilişki .93 bulunduğundan bu
faktörlere literatüre uygun olarak Sorunlarla Mücadele Etme olarak
adlandırdığımız ikinci düzey bir faktör tanımlanmıştır. 11 inci madde
orijinalinde de olduğu gibi hiçbir faktöre ağırlıklı olarak yüklenemediğinden,
diğer 1 numaralı madde faktör yükünün .400’den az olması; 4 ve 14 numaralı
maddeler ise uyum geçerliğinde Ortak Açıklanan Varyans (OAV) ölçütü olan
.500’ün üzerinde olmaya önemli düzeyde katkıda bulunamadıkları için ilgili
faktörlerinden çıkarılmışlardır. Sonuç: Çalışmada BYÖ’ ün yaşlılara
ilişkin tutumları ölçmek için geçerli ve güvenilir bir araç olduğu tespit
edilmiştir. Bundan sonra yapılacak çalışmalar için, BYÖ’ ün farklı
sosyo-demografik özelliklere sahip gruplarda uygulanması ve bu gruplardaki
geçerlik ve güvenirliğinin incelenmesi önerilmektedir.
