HALAL CERTIFICATION PRACTICES IN TOURISM BUSINESSES

Abstract

The purpose of
this study is to evaluate halal certtification practices in tourism sector. The
effect created by considering the consumer values in the management and
marketing studies of tourism businesses necessitates creation of new strategies
by the managers. With the effect of recent economic and political change in
turkey, one of the studies conducted in the way of meeting the demands and
expectation of either inbound and new outbound markets is the ‘’halal
certification’’. Although it is seen as an application especially devoted to
Muslim consumers, the aim of protecting the human health along with the
religious belief comes to the forefront in terms of content. It reveals various
dimensions of application that the objects of associations, organization, etc.
in this field devoted to guaranteeing the human, food and product safety
observe the religious values and sensitivities of society.
