İŞLETMELERDE RUHANİ (SPİRİTÜEL) LİDERLİK: KAVRAMSAL BİR ÇÖZÜMLEME

Abstract

Günümüzde teknolojinin gelişmesiyle birlikte sanal dünyada da gelişmeler yaşanmaktadır. İnsanların çoğu işini sanal ortamda yapabilmekte, birçok gereksinimini de sanal ortamdan sağlayabilmektedir. Bu durum insanların sanal ortamda daha fazla vakit geçirmesine ve birbirlerinden uzaklaşmalarına neden olabilmektedir. Sosyal bir varlık olan insanların çevrelerinden uzun süre izole olması, içsel yaşamlarını olumsuz etkileyebilmektedir. İçine kapanan insanlar işyerinde, yaptıkları işi anlamsız bulabilmekte, işe geç gelme, devamsızlık, gibi üretkenlik karşıtı davranışlar sergileyebilmektedir. Böyle durumlarda insanların manevi yönüne hitap eden bir liderin süreci tersine çevirebileceği öngörülmektedir. İnsanların maneviyatına odaklanan ruhani liderler, bireylerin maneviyatında hissettikleri boşluğu doldurmalarına, yaşamın anlamını keşfetmelerine ve hem kendisiyle hem de başkalarıyla barışık bir birey haline gelmelerine yardımcı olabilmektedir. Bu çalışmada ruhani liderliğin kavramsal bir çözümlemesi yapılarak örgütsel etkileri ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı manevi yaşama ve işyeri maneviyatına yöneticilerin dikkatini çekerek günümüz koşullarında ruhani liderliğin önemini ortaya koymaktır.

Spiritual Leadership in Business: A Conceptual Analysis

Abstract

With the advancement of technology today, developments are also occurring in the virtual world. Many people can perform their work in the virtual environment and meet various needs through online platforms. This situation can lead to people spending more time in the virtual world and growing apart from each other. Prolonged isolation of social beings like humans from their surroundings can negatively affect their inner lives. Individuals who becomes introverts may find their work meaningless, exhibiting counterproductive work behaviors such as tardiness and absenteeism. In such situations, it is anticipated that a leader who appeals to the spiritual aspect of individuals can reverse the process. Spiritual leaders who focus on people's spirituality can help individuals fill the void they feel in their spirituality, discover the meaning of life, and become at peace with themselves and others. In this study, a conceptual analysis of spiritual leadership is conducted, and its organizational effects are discussed. The purpose of the study is to highlight the significance of spiritual leadership in today's conditions by drawing the attention of managers to spiritual life and workplace spirituality.
