Abstract

A New Management Style Proposal: Aesthetic Management

Year 2021, , 97 - 108, 05.08.2021
https://doi.org/10.52848/ijls.934508

Abstract

It is an embroidery point of view for managers to see their managerial role as merely business and task performance or to evaluate their performance only on criteria such as efficiency, profitability, and success. Managers should also be concerned with the beauty and aesthetics side of the business. Because performance criteria such as achieving goals, effectiveness, profitability and efficiency can only be achieved when combined with aesthetics. In the study, which is handled with this understanding, it is aimed that aesthetic understanding and anxiety become functional as a management approach by introducing the concept of "aesthetic management". In order to achieve this aim, a framework related to the concept of aesthetic management has been tried to be presented. In this context, aesthetic sensation, aesthetic behavior, aesthetic communication and aesthetic appearance have been examined as the elements that make up the aesthetic management style.
