YÜKSELEN PİYASALARDA EKONOMİK KÜRESELLEŞME VE GELİR EŞİTSİZLİĞİ İLİŞKİSİ

Abstract

Gelir eşitsizliği 1980’lerin başından itibaren artmaya devam etmektedir. Artan gelir
eşitsizliği ile artan ekonomik küreselleşmenin aynı döneme denk gelmesi küreselleşme-gelir
eşitsizliği ilişkisine dair tartışmaları şiddetlendirmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı yükselen piyasa
ekonomilerinde ekonomik küreselleşme ile gelir eşitsizliği arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır.
Çalışmada 13 yükselen piyasa ekonomisinin 1994-2014 yılları arasındaki verileri kullanılarak
panel veri modeli oluşturulmuş ve gelir eşitsizliği ile küreselleşme arasındaki ilişki Pooled
Mean Group (PMG) yöntemiyle tahmin edilmiştir. Model sonuçlarına göre, yükselen piyasa
ekonomilerinde ekonomik küreselleşmenin gelir eşitsizliğini artırdığı görülmüştür.31.01.2019
