Abstract

Airports have been governed by central or local governments in many countries for many years. However, this situation has been changing and airport industry has been undergoing a structural change. The main objective of this study is to discuss emerging trends in airport industry with a focus of airport governance models. For this purpose, at first, deregulation and liberalization acts will be examined and airport governance models, which occur result of commercialization, privatization and internationalization/globalization trends will be examined with examples from different countries. Following the examination of current situation in Turkey, the study ends with an evaluation

HAVAALANI İŞLETMECİLİĞİNDE YENİ EĞİLİMLER: TÜRKİYE ÜZERİNE BİR DEĞERLENDİRME

Abstract

Havaalanları birçok ülkede uzun yıllardır merkezi veya yerel idareler tarafından işletilmişlerdir. Ancak, son yıllarda bu durum değişmekte; havaalanlarının yönetimi yapısal bir dönüşüm geçirmektedir. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, havaalanı endüstrisindeki yeni eğilimleri havaalanı işletim/yönetim modelleri çerçevesinde tartışmaktır. Bu amaçla çalışmada öncelikle serbestleşme ve liberalleşme hareketleri irdelenecek, ardından havaalanlarını etkileyen ticarileşme, özelleştirme ve uluslararasılaşma/küreselleşme akımlarının sonucu günümüzdeki havaalanı işletim modelleri çeşitli ülkelerden örneklerle ortaya konulacaktır. Türkiye’deki havaalanı endüstrisinin mevcut durumunun ele alınmasının ardından, çalışma, yapılacak değerlendirme ile son bulacaktır.
