DOĞRUDAN YABANCI SERMAYE YATIRIMLARININ AR-GE HARCAMALARI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ: OECD ÜLKELERİ ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Doğrudan Yabancı Sermaye Yatırımları’nın (DYSY) AR-GE harcamaları üzerindeki
etkisinin, 1996-2016 dönemi itibariyle 26 OECD ülkesi için Panel Veri Yöntemi ile analiz edilmesi
amaçlanmıştır. Veri setine en uygun model olan Sabit Etkiler Modeli sonuçlarına göre, DYSY’nin, AR-GE
harcamaları üzerindeki etkisi negatiftir. Kişi Başına GDP ve dışa açıklık oranının, AR-GE harcamaları
üzerindeki etkisi pozitiftir. Kişi başına GDP ve dışa açıklık oranındaki artış, söz konusu ülkelerin AR-GE
harcamalarını teşvik edici önemli bir unsurdur. Çalışmada OECD ülkelerine gelen yabancı sermayenin,
bu ülkelerin karşılaştırmalı üstünlük yapısına uygun olmadığı için AR-GE harcamalarını azaltıcı bir etki
yarattığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
