A REVIEW OF CLUSTER ECONOMIES, AND AS A SPECIFIC SAMPLE BURSA PVC MACHINE INDUSTRY CLUSTER

Year 2009, Volume: 5 Issue: 10, 187 - 202, 01.12.2009

Abstract

The cluster economies concept, which has become quite popular in economic literature in the recent years, especially in the light of M. Porter's studies, is generally described as the accumulation of economic activities in terms of geographical location and industry. The new multi-polar field oriented industrial zones, coming up especially with the evolving structure of traditional entrepreneurship, have achieved significant success in many countries. In this framework, as a specific application from our country, the cluster of PVC machine industry in Bursa may be given as an example. The evaluation of the improvement in this cluster, which can be characterized as a vertical collaboration, is the main purpose of this study

KÜME EKONOMİLERİNE BİR BAKIŞ VE SPESİFİK BİR ÖRNEK OLARAK BURSA PVC MAKİNE ENDÜSTRİ KÜMESİ

Year 2009, Volume: 5 Issue: 10, 187 - 202, 01.12.2009
