THE EFFECT OF GREEN ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE ON ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT IN MANUFACTURING ENTERPRISES: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF JOB SATISFACTION

Abstract

In nowadays' globe, where peripheral causes are incrementing and resources are consumed unconsciously, examining the relations between green organizational culture and organizational variables in businesses will provide important information to managers in developing human resources strategies. The objective of this research is to query the relationships between green organizational culture, organizational commitment and job satisfaction in manufacturing enterprises. In this context, the mediating role of job satisfaction was queried in addition to the hypotheses regarding direct effects in the research. The universe of the research occurs the employees of the manufacturing enterprises in Gaziantep. In the research, a face-to-face survey was conducted with 396 participants who were specified by the convenience sampling method, which is one of the non-random methods. The obtained data were sorted out with the PLS structural equation model. As a result of the analysis; It was concluded that green organizational culture has a significant and positive effect on job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The study also accomplished that job satisfaction has a significant and positive effect on organizational commitment. Finally, it was concluded that job satisfaction has a mediating role in the effect of green organizational culture on organizational commitment. Conducting the research only in a certain geography and only in manufacturing enterprises is among the main limitations of the research.

İMALAT İŞLETMELERİNDE YEŞİL ÖRGÜT KÜLTÜRÜNÜN ÖRGÜTSEL BAĞLILIK ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ: İŞ TATMİNİNİN ARACILIK ROLÜ

Abstract

Çevre sorunlarının giderek arttığı ve kaynakların bilinçsizce tüketildiği günümüzde işletmelerde yeşil örgüt kültürü ve örgütsel değişkenler arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi yöneticilere insan kaynakları stratejileri geliştirmede önemli bilgiler sunacaktır. Bu araştırmanın amacı imalat işletmelerinde yeşil örgüt kültürü, örgütsel bağlılık ve iş tatmini arasındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesidir. Bu kapsamda araştırmada doğrudan etkilere ilişkin hipotezlerin yanı sıra iş tatmininin aracılık rolü de incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini Gaziantep’deki imalat işletmeleri çalışanları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada tesadüfi olmayan yöntemlerden kolayda örneklem yöntemiyle belirlenen 396 katılımcı ile yüz yüze anket yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler PLS yapısal eşitlik modeliyle analiz edilmiştir. Analizler sonucunda; yeşil örgüt kültürünün iş tatmini ve örgütsel bağlılık üzerinde anlamlı pozitif etkisi olduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmada ayrıca iş tatmininin örgütsel bağlılık üzerinde anlamlı pozitif etkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmada son olarak yeşil örgüt kültürünün örgütsel bağlılık üzerindeki etkisinde iş tatmininin aracılık rolü olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmanın sadece belirli bir coğrafyada ve sadece imalat işletmelerinde gerçekleştirilmesi araştırmanın başlıca sınırlılıkları arasında yer almaktadır.
