The main purpose of this study is to examine the impact of globalization as becoming ever more influential due to the media. Concepts discussed are the nation-state, globalization, culture, and media culture. First of all, the nation-state emerged on the historical stage. While the nation-state was strengthened its foundations, globalization and the resultant influence of the media broke down and transcended borders, bringing the influence of the nation-state into question. Globalization then became more widely discussed, inevitably impacting the media worldwide. Hence, the media has become a primary tool in achieving globalization. With globalization, media transcends the concept of space and the boundaries of the nation-state. The media impacts multiple nations and cultures simultaneously, as is clearly evident. This study aims to provide general information within the framework of the main themes of the work described and discussed thus far. In addition, the Kurdish press originating abroad and the Kurdish media that came with satellite broadcasting on a global scale is examined. The role of the above factors in the formation of Kurdish identity is touched upon.
