Implementing the Streamline Curvature Method For Preliminary Design of Multi-Stage Axial Compressors

Abstract

The article describes an algorithm for the inverse calculation of a multi-stage axial compressor using the streamline curvature method. Also, using this method, a four-stage axial compressor with a pressure ratio of 3.2 was designed. In addition, a numerical simulation of the flow in this compressor was performed, the results of the numerical simulation were compared with the design parameters, and an analysis of the reasons for the deviation of the parameters from the design parameters was performed. Recommendations for improving the calculation methodology are given.
