Manuscript Preparation Guidelines
Microsoft Word version 6.0 or later should be used for manuscript preparation. Submitted files must be in Microsoft Word format only and should be formatted for direct printing. Papers should be prepared in a single-column format suitable for direct printing on paper with a trim size of 192 × 262 mm.
The manuscript title should be written in Times New Roman, 17-point font, and single-spaced. The main text of the manuscript must be prepared using Times New Roman, 10-point font.
ORCID Information Requirement
To ensure the accurate identification of authors and to support international academic publishing standards, all authors are required to provide their ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) numbers in submitted manuscripts.
The ORCID ID of each author must be clearly indicated on the first page of the manuscript together with the author's affiliation and contact information. Manuscripts submitted without ORCID information may be returned to the authors for correction before entering the review process.
Authors who do not yet have an ORCID ID can obtain one free of charge by registering at https://orcid.org.
Author Contributions Statement
To ensure transparency in scientific research and to clearly identify each author's contribution to the study, all manuscripts must include an Author Contributions Statement. This section should be placed immediately before the References section.
Authors are encouraged to report their contributions according to the internationally recognized CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) classification. Contribution roles may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Conceptualization
- Methodology
- Software
- Validation
- Formal Analysis
- Investigation
- Data Curation
- Writing – Original Draft
- Writing – Review & Editing
- Visualization
- Supervision
- Project Administration
- Funding Acquisition
Author contributions should be presented in a table format, and the total contribution percentage of all authors must equal 100%. An example of the author contribution table is presented below:
| Author | Contribution Type (CRediT) | Contribution Percentage (%) |
|---|---|---|
| Author 1 | Conceptualization, Methodology, Formal Analysis, Writing – Original Draft | 45 |
| Author 2 | Investigation, Data Curation, Visualization, Writing – Review & Editing | 35 |
| Author 3 | Supervision, Validation, Project Administration | 20 |
Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the reported contributions. The Editorial Board reserves the right to request additional information or documentation regarding author contributions whenever deemed necessary.
Abstract
The abstract should be written as a single paragraph and should not exceed 400 words. Abbreviations used in the abstract must be defined. References, tables, and figure citations should not be included in the abstract.
Keywords
A maximum of five keywords should be provided.
Headings
Section headings should:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Use Policy
The International Journal of New Findings in Engineering, Science and Technology (IJONFEST) recognizes that Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, including generative AI systems, are increasingly being used in academic research and scientific writing. The use of such tools is permitted only as an aid to improve the language, readability, organization, or technical presentation of manuscripts.
Authors who use AI-assisted technologies during the preparation of their manuscripts must clearly disclose such use in a separate statement before the References section. The disclosure should specify the name of the AI tool and describe how it was used.
Authors remain fully responsible and accountable for the accuracy, integrity, originality, and scientific validity of all content submitted to the journal, including any content generated or modified with the assistance of AI tools. AI systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the work, approve the final manuscript, or fulfill authorship requirements.
The use of AI tools for generating, manipulating, or falsifying research data, images, results, references, peer-review reports, or any scientific evidence is strictly prohibited and will be considered a violation of publication ethics. Manuscripts found to contain fabricated, misleading, or unethical AI-generated content may be rejected, retracted, or subjected to other editorial actions.
Editors and reviewers are expected to maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and should not upload unpublished manuscript content to public AI systems or services that may store, reuse, or disclose confidential information.
IJONFEST reserves the right to request additional information regarding the use of AI tools and to take appropriate actions in accordance with its publication ethics policies and the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
