Childhood is one of the most important processes of life. Therefore, it has been the subject of many sciences from psychology to sociology, from biology to literature. Childhood, which is the most important source for explaining adult behaviors, depends on the perception and actions of adults about them. In order to learn this perception, following the texts in children's literature provides important results. Children's literature has a wide range from riddles to epics, rhymes and tales, from novels to children's magazines. However, in the poems where emotional intensity and sincerity are observed more, it is easier to reach the thoughts and feelings of the people of the period. For this reason, what is said about children in the literature created during the Tanzimat Period, where rapid changes take place in different fields, can also be reached with poems of the period. Because individual children's literature emerged with Tanzimat literature. This aesthetic, as well as educational texts, how childhood should be spent, the form of behavior towards children was tried to be determined and transferred. However, when the poems are examined, it is seen that when the child is a child in need, emotional works are produced as a result.
