The main purpose of the Akhism system is to educate moral, fair, honest, religious and meritorious citizens who have adopted national and spiritual values. The Akhism system has had a significant impact in the economic, social and cultural fields with the values it has embodied during its operation. With this study, it is aimed to evaluate the opinions of teachers about examining the Akhism system in terms of values education in Social Studies Education. Putting values education at the center of the curriculum in the 2018 Social Studies curriculum and the fact that this subject has not been studied before in the field of Social Studies Education increases the importance of the study. The study was designed with a phenomenological approach from qualitative research designs. 19 Social Studies Teachers from Istanbul province Bağcılar, Güngören and Esenler districts participated in the research. In order to obtain the data in the study, questions prepared with a semi-structured interview form were asked to the teachers. The obtained data were subjected to content analysis. While conveying the values and the values in the Akhism system, the teachers stated that they should be role models in the classroom, organizing activities, seminars and information activities aimed at raising awareness of students and families at school. According to the results of the research, the teachers stated that there is a close relationship between Social Studies Education, Akhism system and values education and that these values should be transferred to students and this will have a positive effect on them in their later lives. As a result of the research, it is recommended to carry out activities that will explain the importance of the Akhism system to teachers, students and families.
