The aim of the journal is to publish original articles related to Old Uighur language, Buddhist, Manichaist and Nesturian texts in Old Uighur, contacts between languages of "Silk Road Languages" and Old Turkish-Mongolian.
Articles, news, conference papers, discussion articles and bibliography about the Old Uighur and related fields are published. The journal is published twice a year at the end of June and December. It is a non-commercial, free-to-read scholarly journal.
The rules of TDK shall be followed in spelling rules. About the way of writing articles, universal rules will be followed and no strict restrictions will be imposed on the author (about citing style etc.) as long as the author maintains internal consistency. For citing, MLA or Chicago styles are preferred.
