This study was conducted in Malatya, one of the provinces most affected by the earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023, to determine the effects of post-earthquake pollution on the plant sources selected by honey bees in composing product and to determine recommendations that can be given to beekeepers in this regard. For this reason, in 2024, a palynological study was conducted to determine the botanical origin of honey, propolis, pollen and bee bread produced in apiaries established in Yeşilyurt, the district most affected by both the earthquake and the construction works carried out afterwards, and in Battalgazi, a relatively more protected region. Accordingly, a comparison was made between the two districts. According to the obtained data, the results are as follows; a total of 36 taxa belonging to 24 families were determined in bee products, 28 taxa of the total were identified in honey, 30 taxa in propolis, 30 taxa in pollen, and 26 taxa in bee bread. The main dominant taxa were determined as Astragalus, Cistus, Artemisia, Echium, Onobrychis, Verbascum in honey; Poaceae, Astragalus, Carduus, Verbascum, Onobrychis, Salix in propolis; Echium, Artemisia, Apiaceae in bee pollen; Echium, Artemisia, Poaceae, Onobrychis in bee bread. When the taxon diversity obtained in the results is examined, it is seen that after the earthquake, the number of plant taxa preferred by honey bees while producing bee products decreased, and it was seen that Yeşilyurt district was more affected by the pollution formed after the earthquake in terms of bee product quality compared to Battalgazi district.
