Ahilik Kültürünün Meslekî Eğitim Yoluyla Millî Üretime Katkısı: İTÜ MTAL Örneği

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, Ahilik kültürünün meslekî eğitime entegrasyonu yoluyla öğrencilerin yetkinliklerinin artırılmasına yönelik bir örnek uygulamayı incelemektedir. Araştırma, İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Meslekî ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi’nde (İTÜ MTAL) yürütülen “Ahilik Takım Çalışmaları” projesine odaklanmaktadır. Çalışmada, nitel yöntem kullanılmış; doküman incelemesi ve doğal gözlem teknikleriyle veri toplanmıştır. Bulgular, öğrencilerin takım çalışması, sorumluluk alma, girişimcilik ve üretim odaklı düşünme becerilerinde olumlu gelişmeler gösterdiğini ortaya koymuştur. Ahilik değerlerinin eğitim sürecine entegre edilmesiyle öğrencilerde etik, sosyal ve kültürel gelişimin desteklendiği belirlenmiştir. Proje kapsamında öğrenciler, teknik projeler geliştirerek ulusal ve uluslararası yarışmalara katılmıştır. Takım yapısı içinde üst sınıf öğrencilerinin rehberlik rolü üstlenmesi, akran öğrenmesini güçlendirmiştir. Okul-sanayi iş birliği deneyimleri, öğrencilerin meslekî yönelimlerini ve istihdam edilebilirliklerini artırmıştır. Günlük uygulamalar, öğrencilerin karakter gelişimine katkı sağlamıştır. Kültürel aidiyet ve değer bilinci, öğrencilerin okula ve topluma bağlılığını güçlendirmiştir. Proje çıktıları arasında çevrim içi eğitim videoları, sempozyumlar ve AR-GE destekli ürünler yer almıştır. Araştırma bulguları, Ahilik kültürüne dayalı uygulama modelinin meslekî eğitimi çok boyutlu olarak zenginleştirdiğini göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak, Ahilik ilkelerinin eğitim ortamlarına entegre edilmesi, üretim temelli ve değer odaklı bir meslekî eğitim vizyonunun geliştirilmesine katkı sağlamaktadır. Bu modelin, çağdaş eğitim ihtiyaçlarına yanıt veren bütüncül bir yaklaşım sunduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The Contribution of Ahi Culture to National Production Through Vocational Education: The Case of ITU MTAL

Abstract

This study examines a sample implementation aimed at enhancing students’ competencies through the integration of Ahi culture into vocational education. The research focuses on the “Ahi Teamwork Project” conducted at Istanbul Technical University Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School (ITU MTAL). A qualitative method was employed in the study; data were collected through document analysis and naturalistic observation techniques. The findings revealed that students demonstrated positive developments in teamwork, taking responsibility, entrepreneurship, and production-oriented thinking skills. It was determined that the integration of Ahi values into the educational process supported students’ ethical, social, and cultural development. Within the scope of the project, students developed technical projects and participated in national and international competitions. The assignment of upper-grade students to mentoring roles within the team structure strengthened peer learning. School-industry cooperation experiences enhanced students’ vocational orientation and employability. Daily practices contributed to students’ character development. Cultural belonging and value consciousness reinforced students’ attachment to school and society. Project outputs included online educational videos, symposiums, and R&D-supported products. The research findings indicate that the Ahi culture-based implementation model enriches vocational education in a multidimensional manner. As a result, the integration of Ahi principles into educational environments contributes to the development of a production-oriented and value-based vision for vocational education. It is concluded that this model offers a holistic approach that responds to contemporary educational needs.
