The journal, which began publication in 2014 under the title Journal of Bartın University Faculty of Islamic Sciences, has continued publication since December 2025 (Issue 24) under the name ilahiyatname. ilahiyatname is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed, international academic e-journal published twice a year, in June and December. The journal aims to contribute to the dissemination of academic knowledge by publishing original research articles, review articles, research notes, translations, and book reviews within the field of Islamic and religious (ilahiyat) studies. Manuscripts submitted for evaluation must not have been previously published nor be under consideration by another journal. The publication languages are Turkish, Arabic, and English. The manuscript evaluation process takes approximately four months. The editorial board reserves the right to determine the publication schedule and issue planning of accepted manuscripts. The journal is indexed in DOAJ, EBSCO, and ERIH PLUS.
