Artificial Intelligence Policy

Purpose
This policy has been prepared to define the ethical, academic, and technical principles regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Theological Academia. The primary goal is to ensure the transparent, accurate, and impartial use of AI in academic studies, to protect academic integrity, and to respect the confidentiality of personal data. This policy may be updated depending on developments in AI applications.

General Principles
Ethical Use: AI can be used as a supplementary tool for spelling, grammar, and style corrections. However, the creation, evaluation, and interpretation of academic content are the responsibility of the author.
Transparency: Authors must clearly declare at what stages and in what way they use AI in their work. This disclosure should be included in the ethical declaration section of the article.
Accuracy: The accuracy of information generated or processed by AI must be verified with the relevant sources. The author is responsible for any misleading, incomplete, or inaccurate information.
Impartiality: The unbiased use of AI is essential. Potential conflicts of interest should be transparently disclosed and clearly stated in ethical declarations.
Privacy and Security: When using artificial intelligence, the protection and security of personal data must be observed. Privacy principles must be adhered to in data collection, storage, and processing.
Citation: Artificial intelligence tools are not included in the bibliography or footnotes; however, their use must be clearly explained in the ethical declaration section.

Responsibilities
Authors: All ethical and scientific responsibilities related to the use of artificial intelligence belong to the authors.
Reviewers and Editors: The journal management monitors the compliance of the use of artificial intelligence with established ethical standards and conducts the necessary assessments.
Update: This policy is reviewed regularly in line with developments in the field of artificial intelligence and revised if necessary.
