Abstract
According to faqīh who is expert in fıqh, one of the farḍs of Wuḍū is to wash feet. This has been practiced in this form since its approval by the overwhelming majority. However, some the recent academic studies, regarding this issue, claims that the act of anointig naked feet is farḍs as the evidences, related to the practice of anointing, supports this implementation. At this point, it is argued that Ahl-i Sunnah and Shia are two different sides conflicting with each other, and scholars of the Ahl-i Sunnah side were said to have neglected to some references related to the function of anointing. However, when these concerns are examined in the light of the fıqh perspective, it is visible that some of ravi, who is receiving riwaya, consciously manipulated some of the evidence or references to prove that their own theories are solely truth. Actually, it did not refer to a problematic issue between Ahl-i Sunnah and whole Shia however as we know that there were some conflicts about this issue between one part of Shia, belonging to Imamiyye sect and rest groups of the Muslims even in earlier. Throughout the centuries and even at our present it has not been regarded as a mistake or problem to wash feet during the act of ablution, it does not refer to any problem or wrong practice. However, the fact that some of the recent ideas which are conflicting with truth and manifesting an overview that anointing is better than washing completely and physically, made essential to necessitate deeply this issue in an academic manner. Therefore, in this article, the practice of washing feet and the practice of anointing are exten.
