Aim & Scope

Istanbul Management Journal (IMJ) is an open access, peer-reviewed, scholarly and international journal of Istanbul University Graduate School of Business (İşletme İktisadı Enstitüsü). It is published biannually in June and December.
Between the years 1975-2016, the journal was a print publication publishing accepted studies in Turkish and English. In 2018, in line with internationalization vision, the title of İstanbul Üniversitesi İşletme Fakültesi İşletme İktisadı Enstitüsü- YÖNETİM dergisi was changed into Istanbul Management Journal and the print version was stopped. The journal has been an online only publication since then. As of 2023 issues, the publication language of the journal has become only English.
IMJ is published biannually in June and December. The journal is covered in DOAJ, Tubitak Ulakbim TR Index, Proquest, EBSCO, RePEc IDEAS, RePEc EconPapers.

The aim of the journal is to provide a platform for exploring issues in business management and publish high-quality research articles from both international and national communities. In line with the aim, the journal focuses on publications that bring together the theoretical background that contributes to the literature for professionals, researchers and other interested parties and practical information for practitioners. The audiences of the journal are academics, researchers, business-life professionals, university students, related trade associations, academic bodies, and institutions. The journal is open to interdisciplinary studies related to the field.
