Korelasyon Katsayısı İçin Rastgele Etkiler Meta Analizde İstatistiksel Güç

Abstract

Meta analizi, belirli bir konuda birbirinden bağımsız olarak yapılmış, çok sayıdaki çalışmanın sonuçlarının birleştirilmesi ve elde edilen bulguların istatistiki tekniklerle analiz edilmesi yöntemidir. Meta analizi ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar uzun yıllardır mevcuttur ancak literatürde meta analizinde istatistiksel güç ile ilgili az sayıda çalışma vardır. Oysaki güç hesaplamaları, bir istatistiksel planlamanın sağlamlığı açısından hem birincil çalışmalarda hem de meta analizinde oldukça önemli bir konudur. Bu çalışmada, korelasyon katsayısının etki büyüklüğü olarak ele alındığı bir meta analizinde, rastgele etkiler modeli için kullanılan istatistiksel testlere ait testin gücü hesaplamaları üzerinde duruldu. Hesaplamalar, simülasyon ve analitik güç yöntemlerine göre yapıldı ve istatistiksel güç simülasyonu ile analitik güç arasında bir fark olup olmadığı konusu incelendi. Simülasyon gücü ile meta analizi çalışması yapacak olan araştırmacılara arzu edilen bir güç seviyesi için gerekli olan koşullar hakkında ön bilgi verilmesi bu çalışmanın amaçları arasındadır. Meta analizde analitik güç hesaplama formülleri bazı varsayımlar altında türetilmektedir. Bu sebeple analitik güç bu varsayımlardan etkilenebilir. Aynı koşullar altında hesaplanacak olan simülasyon gücü ile analitik güç arasındaki farklılardan yararlanarak bu etkilenmenin önemli olup olmadığı araştırıldı

The Calculatıon Of Statıstıcal Power In Meta Analysıs For Correlatıon Coeffıcıent

Abstract

Meta analysis is the statistical method that is conducted by combining the results of a large of independent studies and that is analysed these results by using statistical techniques. There has been a lot of studies about meta-analysis for a long time but there ar a few studies about statistical power in meta-analysis. On the other hand, statistical power calculations are quite an important part of sound statistical planning in both primary studies and meta-analysis. In this study, the calculation of statistical power of statistical tests was considered for random effects model in meta-analysis where is Pearson correlation as effect size. The calculations were made for simulation and analytical procedures separately and it was investigated whether differences between simulation power and analytical power. It was purposed to give the researchers that will calculate simulation power in meta-analysis a preliminary knowledge of conditions required for desired power level in this study. The calculating formulas of analytical power in meta-analysis are produced under some suppositions. So analytical power can be impressed them. In this study, it was investigated whether this impression is important by exploiting the differences between the simulation power and analytical power to be calculated under the same conditions
