Menopause, which is an important turning point in women's lives is a long life stage in which there productive ability of the ovaries is lost as a result of decreased hormone. Menopausal symptoms, resulting from hormonal changes, are the most common complaints in both physical and psychological fields after transition to menopause and after early menopause. Exercises play an important role in facilitating the transition to menopause. Regular physical activity helps to manage, alleviate, and reduce the number of physical, psychological and social problems of the disturbing symptoms of menopause. Nurses should state the importance of exercise and need to be done regularly and help women in exercise planning. The health promotion model enables people to take an active role in health activities for a healthy life and to change the patient's behavior by working in collaboration with the nurse and the patient. Exercises conducted under the guidance of health promotion model are important for individuals to take responsibility for their own health, to develop healthy lifestyle behaviors and to cope with menopausal symptoms.
