Research and Publication Ethics
1-All authors must sign the Copyright Transfer Form. The signature of the corresponding author is mandatory on the form. In cases where it is not possible to obtain the signatures of co-authors, the corresponding author assumes full responsibility on their behalf.
2-Submitted manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. All listed authors must have seen and approved the submitted version of the manuscript. The journal bears no responsibility for any disputes arising from the order of authorship.
3-The manuscript must be prepared in accordance with the journal’s author guidelines. By uploading the manuscript to the submission system, the author(s) are deemed to have waived the copyright and transferred it to the Journal of Inspiring Technologies and Innovations (INOTECH), granting the journal permission to publish the manuscript.
4-The author(s) declare that all text, figures, graphics, photographs, and tables in the manuscript belong to them and that any material taken from other researchers is properly cited in accordance with ethical standards. The author(s) accept full responsibility for any ethical misconduct.5-Inspiring Technologies and Innovations (INOTECH) is an international, peer-reviewed, and open-access journal. The journal does not charge any fees under any name (e.g., submission, processing, or publication fees).
6-The journal is published biannually (June and December). It does not publish special or supplementary issues.
7-The journal adheres to the ethical principles outlined by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
8-INOTECH uses a double-blind peer review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.
9-The journal does not accept advertisements.
10-All articles published in the journal are archived in PDF format via the TÜBİTAK-ULAKBİM database.
11-Personal information such as names, email addresses, and phone numbers entered into the journal system will be used exclusively for the scientific purposes of this journal, in accordance with its Privacy Statement.
12-All manuscripts submitted to the journal are initially evaluated by the editor-in-chief. Manuscripts that are not within the scope of the journal may be rejected at this stage.
13-Manuscripts deemed appropriate are sent for peer review unless they contain significant deficiencies. The reviewer invitation period is 1 week, and the review period is 1 month. Extensions may be granted if necessary. Authors are given 1 month to revise the manuscript based on reviewer feedback. For final proofreading and formatting, authors are given between 1 and 7 days.
14-Each manuscript is evaluated by two reviewers. If both reviewers recommend acceptance, the manuscript is accepted. If both recommend rejection, it is rejected. If one reviewer recommends acceptance and the other rejection, a third reviewer is consulted. A decision is usually reached within three months.
15-If the manuscript is suitable for the journal’s scope and does not have major deficiencies, the peer review process is initiated. The reviewer invitation period is 1 week, and the review period is 1 month. Authors are given at least 1 week and up to 4 weeks to revise their manuscript according to the reviewers’ comments. For the final control stage, 1 to 7 days are allocated.
16-Each manuscript is reviewed by two referees. If both provide positive feedback, the manuscript is accepted. If both provide negative feedback, it is rejected. In case of conflicting evaluations, a third referee is consulted. Final decisions on submitted manuscripts are typically made within six months.
Our journal has started to accept publications in English and Turkish as of January 2024. Turkish publications will be accepted with English Abstracts. You can download the Full Text writing template from the Writing Rules menu.
