r. Derya Yavuz Demiray currently serves as an Associated Professor and Head of the Neurology Department at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Tayfur Ata Sökmen Faculty of Medicine. She completed both her medical education (1998-2005) and her neurology residency (2005-2011) at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty. Her residency thesis focused on investigating cognitive disorders and depression in patients with coexisting essential tremor and Parkinson's disease.
Her academic work primarily concentrates on movement disorders, epilepsy, and headache (migraine). Her recent research notably includes studies on post-trauma conditions, such as the impact of the February 6 earthquake on brain structures and the clinical features of neurological diseases in the earthquake region. Additionally, she has international publications on the neurological manifestations of blood disorders like Thalassemia Major and Sickle Cell Anemia, as well as authored book chapters on sensory systems and pathological reflexes
Dr. Bünyamin Kutluksaman

Dr. Bünyamin Kutluksaman is an ophthalmologist with expertise in retinal diseases, vitreoretinal surgery, uveitis, and glaucoma. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at Hatay Mustafa Kemal University's Tayfur Ata Sökmen Faculty of Medicine. In this role, he strives to balance his clinical practice with a dedication to medical education and research.
Dr. Kutluksaman’s research interests include diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, retinitis pigmentosa, neovascular glaucoma, and retinitis. He has been involved in studies aimed at advancing the understanding and management of these conditions and is committed to contributing to the field of ophthalmology through collaborative efforts and continuous learning.
