Tiyatro Afiş Tasarımlarının Brockmann’ın Izgara Sistemine Göre Analizi

Abstract

Afiş tasarımı bir iletişim aracı olarak uzun zamandır toplumsal hayatın bir unsurudur. Üretilen iletişim araçlarından ilk akla gelenlerden biri afiş tasarımıdır. Çeşitli türlerde üretilen afiş tasarımında kültür sanat faaliyetleri içinde tiyatro afişleri önemli bir yere sahiptir. Tiyatro, gösteri afişlerinin en başarılı örnekleri Avrupa’da Paris’li ve Paris’te bulunan sanatçılar tarafından üretilmiştir. Cheret, Toulouse-Lautre, Bonnard, Mucha, Orazi öne çıkan isimlerdir. Yaygın bir iletişim aracı olarak afişin üretimine dair araştırmalarda hem sanat hem de bilimsel yaklaşımlarla değerlendirilmiştir. Afişin tıpkı bir bina gibi öngörülebilir biçimde kurmanın mümkün olacağını savunan Brockmann’ın ızgara sistem (grid system) üzerine düşünceleri ve üretimleri konuya kaynak olmaktadır. Bu çerçevede 2022-2023 Devlet Tiyatrosu’nda oynanan oyun afişleri rastgele 5 tanesi seçilerek niteliksel gözlem ve yorumlama yöntemiyle tasarımda ızgara sistemi üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Afiş tasarımında daha çok sütun ızgara sistemi kullanılarak sade ve basit bir biçimde hiyerarşiyi sağlamaya yönelik tasarımların yapıldığı söylenebilir. Afişlerin sayfa tasarımında (layout design) zemin (background) seçimleriyle, metin ve görsel unsur ilişkisini sağlamak için bütün sayfayı kaplayan bir doku, renk veya beyaz zeminin tercih edildiği gözlemlenmektedir.

Analysis of Theater Poster Designs According to Brockmann's Grid System

Abstract

Poster design has long been an element of social life as a means of communication. One of the first communication tools that come to mind is poster design. Theater posters have an important place in cultural and artistic activities in poster design produced in various genres. The most successful examples of theater and show posters were produced by artists from and in Paris in Europe. Cheret, Toulouse-Lautre, Bonnard, Mucha, Orazi are the prominent names. In researches on the production of posters as a common communication tool, it has been evaluated with both artistic and scientific approaches. Arguing that it will be possible to set up the poster in a predictable way just like a building, Brockmann's thoughts and productions on the grid system are the source of the subject. In this framework, 5 of the play posters played in the 2022-2023 “Devlet Tiyatroları” were selected randomly and evaluated through the grid system in design with the method of qualitative observation and interpretation. It can be said that designs are made to ensure the hierarchy in a plain and simple way by using mostly column grid system in poster design. It is observed that a texture, color or white background covering the whole page is preferred in order to ensure the relationship between the text and the visual element with the background selections in the layout design of the posters.
