Ali Akbaş’s Biographic and Artistic Life and His Poetical Themes

Abstract

Ali Akbaş is an important philosopher who contributes to his country not only with his poems that reflects national, spiritual and cultural unity and his missions in the associations that aims to protect this unity but also his teaching jobs in the universities and schools. He won the award of “poet of the year” and “writer of the year” many times, inspired many poets and wrote poems in a simple style that can be understood by the society and he served as a model with his children poems for the next generations. He was an academician in Ahmet Yesevi University in Kazakhstan and had the oppurtunity to symbolise his country abroad. He chose love and sexuality, loneliness, The God and religion, death, conscious of Turks, history as theme of his poems and he thinks that less is more. In this study, information about Akbaş’s biographic and artistic life will be presented and his poems will be analysed for their themes
