Analysis of the Conflict Resolution and Mediation Training Program from Mothers' Point of View

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze The Conflict Resolution and Mediation (CRM)  Training Program from mothers' point of view. The CRM training program which lasted for eight weeks was conducted with twelve mothers. Case study method which is one of the patterns of qualitative methods is used throughout the research. Expectations form, metaphor form, group interview form and researcher's diary are used as data collection tools. The data collected at the beginning, during the process and at the end of the training analyzed by using qualitative analysis techniques. The findings attained show that the CRM Training Program designed with a school based approach has made positive changes on mothers' communicational skills, anger management skills, conflict resolution/mediation skills and The program has also made positive change on their metaphoric perception of conflict and its nature. To sum up, The CRM Training Program is believed to have achieved its goals.
