Çizgi Filmlerin Değerler Eğitimine Olan Katkılarının Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Toplumların ve bireylerin özünü oluşturan değerler, bir kilit taşı görevi görmektedir. Toplumları ayakta tutan, ilişkileri sağlamlaştıran, bireylerin sağlıklı olmasını sağlayan değerleri korumak, gelecek nesillere aktarmak ancak eğitimle mümkün kılınabilmektedir. Değerlerin kuşaktan kuşağa aktarılmasında birçok materyal ile yöntem ve teknik kullanılmaktadır. Somut işlemler döneminde yer alan ilkokul çocuklarına her biri soyut kavram olan değerleri aktarmada somutlaştırma önemli bir unsurdur. Bu bağlamda etkili olan materyallerden biri de çizgi filmlerdir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, çizgi filmlerin değerler eğitimine olan katkılarının belirlenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırmada Değerler Takımı çizgi filmi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma nitel araştırma desenlerinden biri olan temel nitel araştırmaya uygun olarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma grubunun belirlenmesinde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu 2024-2025 öğretim yılında 1.sınıfta öğrenim gören ve daha önce Değerler Takımı çizgi filmini izlememiş olan 10 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler ile elde edilmiş olup veri analizinde tümevarımsal bir yaklaşım izlenmiştir. Verilerin analizlerinde Nvivo 14 nitel veri analizi paket programından yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda çizgi filmlerin değerler eğitiminde önemli bir rol oynadığı, değerleri somutlaştırarak aktarmada etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilere göre çizgi filmlerin değerler eğitiminde kullanılması pek çok yararlılığı beraberinde getirmektedir. Araştırma sonucuna göre küçük yaş grubundaki çocuklara değerleri aktarmada etkili olan çizgi filmlerin, toplumsal değerlerimizi daha fazla içerecek şekilde değerler eğitiminde daha çok yer alması önerilmektedir.

Determining the Contribution of Cartoons to Values Education

Abstract

Values that constitute the essence of societies and individuals serve as a keystone. Protecting and transferring values that keep societies standing, strengthen relationships, and ensure the health of individuals to future generations is only possible through education. Concretization is an important element in transferring values, each of which is an abstract concept, to primary school children in the concrete operations period. The purpose of this research is to determine the contributions of cartoons to values education. For this purpose, the Values Team cartoon was used in the research. The research was carried out in accordance with basic qualitative research, which is one of the qualitative research designs. Purposeful sampling methods were used in determining the study group. The study group consists of 10 students studying in the 1st grade in the 2024-2025 academic year and who had not watched the Values Team cartoon before. The research data were obtained through semi-structured interviews and an inductive approach was followed in data analysis. As a result of the research, it was concluded that cartoons play an important role in values education and are effective in transferring values by concretizing them. According to the students, the use of cartoons in values education brings many benefits. According to the results of the research, it is recommended that cartoons, which are effective in transferring values to children in the young age group, should be included more in values education in a way that includes more of our social values.
