Alman Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Gözünden “Sachunterricht (Hayat Bilgisi) Dersi”

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı Almanya’da sınıf öğretmenliği yapan öğretmenlerin gözünden Sachunterricht dersini analiz etmektedir. Bu amaçla araştırma nitel araştırma desenlerinde durum çalışmasına göre yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Almanya’da Baden- Württemberg eyaletinin çeşitli bölgelerinde bulunan ilkokullarda sınıf öğretmenliği yapan toplam 5 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma da veriler “yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği”ne göre toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel ve içerik analizleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre sınıf öğretmenleri Sachunterricht dersini “el, zihin ve kalp” iş birliğiyle aktif bir öğretim yaklaşımıyla çocuğun dünyayı algılaması ve anlaması şeklinde tanımlamışlardır. Ayrıca sınıf öğretmenlerinin Sachunterricht dersinin işlenmesinde en çok derse yönelik materyallerin hazır olmasını önemsedikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bunun birlikte görüşmelerin sonucunda öğretmenlerin Sachunterricht dersinde en sık “deney ve proje” yöntemlerini tercih ettikleri; ölçme ve değerlendirmenin “dönem başı, ortası ve sonunda” alternatif ve klasik yöntemlerin birlikte kullanılarak yapıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulguları, alman sınıf öğretmenlerinin gözünden Sachunterricht dersinin “eylem odaklı”, atölye çalışmalarına yoğunlaşılarak disiplinlerarası bir anlayışla çocuğun dünyayı tanımasını misyon edinen bir ders olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

“Sachunterricht (Social Studies) Course” Through the Eyes of German Primary School Teachers

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the Sachunterricht course through the eyes of teachers working as primary school teachers in Germany. For this purpose, the research was carried out according to the case study in qualitative research designs. The study group of the research consists of a total of 5 primary school teachers working in primary schools in various regions of Baden-Württemberg in Germany in the 2021-2022 academic year. In the research, the data were collected according to the "interview technique". Descriptive and content analyzes were used in the analysis of the data. According to the results of the research, primary school teachers defined the sachunterricht course as the child's perception and understanding of the world with an active teaching approach in cooperation with "hand, mind and heart". In addition, it has been concluded that the primary school teachers care most about the preparation of the materials for the course in the teaching of the sachunterricht course. However, as a result of the interviews, it was determined that the teaching methods most frequently used by the teachers in the sachunterricht course were "experiment and project" methods. It has been determined that assessment and evaluation are made by using alternative and traditional methods together at the "beginning, middle and end of the term". It was concluded that the Sachunterricht course, through the eyes of German primary school teachers, is an "action-oriented" course that focuses on workshops and takes it as a mission for the child to get to know the world with an interdisciplinary approach.
