İRAN, ANİRAN VE İRANŞEHR KAVRAMLARI ÜZERİNE

Abstract

İran sözcüğünün Orta Persçe şekli olan Ērān’ın Proto-İrani bir terim olan Aryānām’dan türediği ve ēr’ köküne ān çoğul ekinin getirilmesiyle oluştuğu kabul edilir. Kökeni Avesta’ya kadar uzanan İran (Ērān) sözcüğüne ilk kez Sasani hanedanının kurucusu I. Ardeşir (224-240)’in yazıtlarında ve sikkelerinde rastlanır. İran (Ērān) teriminin karşıtı olan Aniran (Anērān) terimi ise I. Şapur (240-272) ile birlikte görünmeye başlamıştır. Yedi iklimden oluşan bir dünyanın merkezinde durduğu kabul edilen Airyanem Vaejah (Aryan’ların yayıldığı bölge)’ın bir bakıma halefi olarak İranşehr (Ērānšahr) tıpkı İran gibi Sasanilerin bir tasarımıydı. İran fikrinin Ahameniş, Helen, Part; hatta Yakındoğu mirası ile oluşan imparatorluk ideolojisi ile beraber sentezlendiğini söylemek mümkündür.
