Beîh-li meşhûr sufi Ahmed h. Hadraveyh’in (H. 240/854) arkadaşlarından olan ( Ebû Hafs Amr ) b. Seleme (yahut Salim) el-Hadââd en-Neysâbûri Nişâbûr’un Kûrdeâbâd köyünde doğdu. Önceleri demircilik yapan, Ebû Hafs el-Haddad’ın tasavvufa pek genç sayılabilecek bil yaşta intisabı anlaşılmaktadır.
