Filistin Toprakları ve İlk Sakinleri

Year 2024, Volume: 10 Issue: 52, 10 - 29, 31.12.2024

Abstract

İsa (a.s), Hz. Musa (a.s) gibi büyük peygamberlerin zuhur ettiği yer olmuştur; Ayrıca Hz. İbrahim (a.s)'in geçiş ve yaşam yeridir.

The Palestinian Territories and Its First Inhabitants

Year 2024, Volume: 10 Issue: 52, 10 - 29, 31.12.2024

Abstract

Palestine is originally an Arab Islamic country and originated Abrahamic religions and great ancient human civilizations. In other words, this region has been the place of the appearance of great prophets such as Jesus (peace be upon him) and Moses (peace be upon him). It is also where Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) passed and lived. In ancient times, this land was called the land of Canaan. Palestine is geographically located in the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean region. Palestine is like a bridge that connects three continents (Asia, Africa, and Europe). For this reason, Palestine is known as the heart of the Arab world and the connecting point between East and West. Throughout history, these lands have been attacked by great conquerors and even destroyed many times. However, with the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948 and the claims of Jewish ownership and sovereignty over this land, severe and permanent tensions and conflicts between Muslim Arabs and Jews began and continue to this day. After the formation of the state of Israel, the claims of Arabs and Jews over this land caused this geography to experience great wars. To know which tribe this land belongs to, it is necessary to research. For this reason, revealing which people migrated to this land for the first time based on historical developments shows the importance of this research. Therefore, the main question in this article is what historical developments have occurred in this geography, and which people are the principal inhabitants of this land? The research method in this study was descriptive-analytical. In this regard, the findings of this research show that this land has a unique geography and is of great importance both in terms of geopolitics and the origin of monotheistic religions. It seems that the main tribes living in this land are Arabs (Canaanites).
