Author(s) should state above the reference section at the end of their manuscripts whether they used generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools during the writing process. This statement is limited to the writing process and does not apply to the use of AI tools for analyzing data and drawing conclusions as part of the research process.
Our journal does not oppose the use of AI tools. Our view on this matter is that when authors use AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process, they should use these technologies solely to improve readability and language. The application of technology should be done under human supervision and control, and authors should keep in mind that AI can produce outputs that appear reliable but may be erroneous, incomplete, or biased, and should carefully review and edit the results. AI and AI-supported technologies should not be listed as authors or co-authors in works submitted to the journal, nor should they be cited as authors. Authorship refers to responsibilities and tasks that can only be attributed to humans and performed by them.
Authors should explain the use of AI and AI-assisted technologies in their writing process by following the instructions below.
Authors should add a statement at the end of their manuscripts, before the References list in the main manuscript file, explaining the use of generative artificial intelligence and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process. The statement should be added to a new section titled “Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence and AI-Assisted Technologies in the Writing Process.”
If AI tools is used in the study:*
"The author(s) used the [............................] tool(s) for the purpose of [..................] during the preparation of this study. After using this tool/service, the author(s) reviewed and edited the content as necessary and assumed full responsibility for the content of the publication."
*This statement does not apply to the use of basic tools used for grammar, spelling, references, etc. For example, no declaration is required for the use of tools such as Grammarly or Deepl for summaries in a secondary language. ChatGPT, Google Gemini, POE, Perplexity, Claude, DeepAI, DeepSeek, Copilot, Midjourney, Prezi, Nightcafe, etc. Tools in the LLM category and other AI-supported technologies must be declared if used.
If AI tools is not used in the study:
"The author(s) did not use any AI tools during the preparation of this study. The author(s) assume full responsibility for the content of the publication under the AI tool usage declaration."
