Ergenlerde Sosyal Medya Bağımlılığı ve Psikolojik Bozukluklar Arasındaki İlişki

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı bazı psikolojik
bozuklukların ve sosyal medya günlük kullanım süresinin ergenlerde sosyal medya
bağımlılığını yordama gücünü incelemektir. Bu amaçla somatizasyon, fobik
anksiyete, depresyon, kaygı, obsesif-kompulsif, kişilerarası duyarlılık,
paranoid düşünceler, psikotizm uyku ve yeme bozuklukları öfke-düşmanlık
duygularının ve sosyal medya günlük kullanım süresinin sosyal medya
bağımlılığını yordayıp yordamadığını test etmek için standart ve aşamalı çoklu
doğrusal regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya 583 ergen katılmıştır.
Araştırmada Sosyal Medya Bağımlılığı Ölçeği ve SCL-90 Belirti Tarama Testi
kullanılmıştır. Araştırma
bulgularına göre psikolojik bozuklukların ve sosyal medya günlük kullanım
süresinin sosyal medya bağımlılığını yordadığı görülmüştür. Sosyal medya
bağımlılığı ile en yüksek ilişki gösteren değişkenler sosyal medya günlük
kullanım süresi ile birlikte psikotizm, paranoid düşünceler, fobik anksiyete ve
öfke-düşmanlık duygularının olduğu belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen verilere göre
sosyal medya bağımlılığı üzerinde en çok etkili olan değişken günlük sosyal
medya kullanım süresidir. Sosyal medya bağımlılığı ile günlük sosyal medya
kullanım süresi arasında pozitif ve yüksek bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. Günlük
sosyal medya kullanım süresi arttıkça sosyal medya bağımlılığı düzeyi
yükselmektedir. Sonuç olarak ergenlerde bazı psikolojik bozukluklar ile sosyal
medya bağımlılığı arasında bir ilişki bulunmaktadır. Ergenin psikolojik
bozukluklar düzeyinin artması sosyal medya bağımlılığının artmasında etkili
olmaktadır. Psikolojik bozukluklar sosyal medyada geçirilen sürenin artmasını
da etkilemektedir

The Relationship Between Social Media Dependence and Psychological Disorders in Adolescents

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the
relationship between social media dependence and mental disorders. For this purpose, standard and stepwise
regression tests were used to test whether social media dependence was
associated with somatization, phobic anxiety, depression, anxiety,
obsessive-compulsive, interpersonal sensitivity, paranoid ideation, psychotic
sleep and eating disorders and anger- analyzed. 583 adolescents participated in
the study. Social Media Dependency Scale and SCL-90 Symptom Screening Test were
used in the study. As a result of research, mental disorders predict social media
dependence. Variables that have the highest correlation with social media
dependency were found to be psychotism, paranoid thoughts, phobic anxiety and
anger-hostility feelings with the duration of social media daily use. According
to the data obtained, the most effective variable on the social media
dependency is the daily usage time of the social media. There is a positive and
high relationship between social media dependence and the duration of daily
social media use. Having certain mental disorders of the adolecents is
effective in increasing social media dependency. Mental disorders may also
affect the increase in the number of hours spent on social media
