The family institution is the beginning of the socialization process and part of social life. The complex bounds between society and family make it impossible to isolate the home as a private space. The family is the area where the child learns the concept of cultural norms and social mentality. Due to the complex relationship established by the family with the society, the child learns the normative codes of the culture in the socialization process. As society changes, the family structure also transforms. This is a two-way conversation.
Films are human stories embellished with cultural codes. The representations on the screen are presented as aesthetic projections of real life. In this context, film universes and character representations established between reality and fiction carry codes and mentality pieces related to many phenomena such as family, marriage, and love in social life.
The cinematic representation of the family, which is defined as the basic unit of social life today, will create pieces of opinion that bear similarities or contrasts between real-life and fictional stories in the minds of the audience. The parts of the private spaces reflected on the
Aile kurumu, sosyalleşme sürecinin başlangıcı ve sosyal hayatın bir parçasıdır. Toplum ve aile arasındaki karmaşık sınırlar, evi özel bir alan olarak izole etmeyi imkânsız hale getirir. Aile, çocuğun kültürel normlar ve sosyal zihniyet kavramını öğrendiği alandır. Ailenin toplumla kurduğu karmaşık ilişki nedeniyle çocuk, sosyalleşme sürecinde kültürün normatif kodlarını öğrenir. Toplum değiştikçe aile yapısı da dönüşmektedir. Bu çift yönlü bir ilişkidir.
Filmler kültürel kodlarla süslenmiş insan hikayeleridir. Ekrandaki temsiller, gerçek hayatın estetik izdüşümleri olarak sunulur. Bu bağlamda gerçeklik ile kurgu arasında kurulan film evrenleri ve karakter temsilleri, toplumsal hayatta aile, evlilik, aşk gibi pek çok olguya ilişkin kodlar ve zihniyet parçaları taşır.
Günümüzde toplumsal yaşamın temel birimi olarak tanımlanan ailenin sinemasal temsili, izleyicinin zihninde gerçek yaşam ile kurgusal öyküler arasında benzerlikler ya da zıtlıklar taşıyan görüşler oluşturacaktır. Özel alanların ekrana yansıyan bölümleri de Türkiye'deki aile yapısına ilişkin tarihsel dönüşümün izlerini taşımaktadır.

Dear Scientists and Researchers,
The International Journal of Social Sciences and Art Studies, which started its publication life in 2022 with its 1st issue, is an open access international academic journal subject to double refereeing process, which publishes twice a year, in January and July. Our journal covers the fields of history, sociology, psychology, philosophy, archeology, art history, behavioral sciences, linguistics, literature and fine arts, in which the relations of communication science with other disciplines are supported by new and original academic research that will contribute to the field from different perspectives. It publishes theoretical and/or applied original and compilation articles belonging to disciplines such as No fee is charged for the articles during the application and publication process.
Publication Process
All authors are regularly informed about the processes of the articles. The articles sent to the journal are directed to the field editors after the pre-evaluation process of the editorial board and sent to two referees who are experts in the field. Referee returns vary between 6-8 weeks. In line with the evaluation reports from the referees, it is decided to publish the article, request correction from the author or reject the article.
