Istranca Journal of Historical Studies is an international, peer-reviewed periodical that primarily publishes research articles, translated articles, and book reviews focusing on the history of the Rumelia and Balkan regions.
As an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal, the Istranca Journal of Historical Studies publishes primarily in Turkish. However, academic studies written in English (languages using the Latin script), Russian (languages using the Cyrillic script), and Arabic (languages using the Arabic script) are also accepted.
The journal publishes academic studies primarily in the field of history, with a particular focus on the language, literature, and culture of the Rumelia and Balkan regions. In addition to research articles, the journal also welcomes book reviews and translated articles.
The Istranca Journal of Historical Studies is published twice a year, in January and July.
