Aim & Scope

Innovation in Science, Technology and Engineering (İSTE) Journal aims to disseminate original, high-quality research in fundamental and applied sciences, engineering and technology, and the social sciences, to encourage innovative and interdisciplinary studies that establish a sound balance between theory and application, and to increase the visibility of research conducted by academics and graduate researchers. Innovation in Science, Technology and Engineering (İSTE) Journal is an international, peer-reviewed journal published by the Institute of Graduate Studies of Iskenderun Technical University.

The scope of the journal covers original research in the fundamental and applied sciences, engineering and technology, and the social sciences. Theoretical studies, quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods research, and experimental, numerical and applied studies are considered. Social science submissions are not required to have a direct connection with engineering or technology. Original research articles, review articles, short communications and letters to the editor are considered for publication. The publication languages of the journal are English and Turkish. Manuscripts that have been previously published or are under consideration elsewhere are not accepted. Review articles are expected to evaluate current developments in a specific field in depth, supported by a comprehensive literature review. Short communications present original findings of limited scope in a concise form with sufficient methodological rigour; when preliminary findings are reported, the stage of the research and its limitations must be stated.
