Prof. Dr. Abdullah Özkan is a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Iskenderun Technical University. He conducts research in the fields of chemistry, biomedical engineering, nanotechnology, and materials science; he leads graduate education initiatives, research projects, and institutional capacity-building efforts in the CBRN field. He is actively involved in various scientific publications, projects, and academic collaborations at both the national and international levels.

Dr. Kadir Tohma is an Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering at Iskenderun Technical University (ISTE). He also serves as Vice Director of the Graduate School. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, natural language processing, large language models, Turkish language technologies, human–robot interaction, and wireless sensor networks. He combines academic research with university–industry collaboration and technology entrepreneurship at Teknopark ISTE.
Dr. Merve Nilay Aydın is an Assistant Professor of Management Information Systems at Iskenderun Technical University (ISTE). Her research focuses on control theory and its applications, fault-tolerant control, robust control, reinforcement learning, artificial intelligence, deep learning, optimization, and the modeling and simulation of large systems and networks.
Murat Yurtlu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Tourism Guidance at the Faculty of Tourism, İskenderun Technical University, Türkiye. He completed his master’s degree in Tourism and Hotel Management at İskenderun Technical University in 2020 and his PhD in Tourism Management at Selçuk University in 2025. His master’s thesis examined the state of online marketing software serving the Turkish hotel industry, while his doctoral thesis investigated the role of information technologies in the relationship between competitive strategies and business performance in tourism enterprises.
Before beginning his academic career in 2017, he held various positions in the accommodation sector, particularly in front office and hotel management. His academic work focuses on the relationships between technological applications and the managerial and operational processes of tourism enterprises. His main research interests include digitalization in tourism, information systems, digital marketing, online distribution channels, revenue management, artificial intelligence applications, and tourism competitiveness. Within this scope, his research examines the operation and integration of hotel software, the use of digital technologies in marketing and sales processes, and the relationships among information technologies, competitive strategies, and business performance.
He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in areas including digital tourism, artificial intelligence in tourism, information systems management, electronic marketing, and hotel technologies. He has also contributed to tourism planning initiatives for Amasya, Gaziantep, and Hatay, addressing smart tourism, digital visibility, digital capabilities, and internet infrastructure. The connections among tourism management, technology, and industry practices form a common focus across his research and teaching activities.

Dr. Şimşek's research and teaching is focused on marine and freshwater biology, fisheries technology and fish behaviors (especially discard fate and behavior impairment). He got his Master degree from the Department of Fisheries at Mustafa Kemal University, and Doctorate degree from the Department of Fisheries at İskenderun Technical University, in Hatay, TÜRKİYE. He has been working as an Associate Professor at İskenderun Technical University since 2023.

She works as a specialist in the digitization of the Uzbek language in these 5 international projects. 5 members of local grants, 2 heads of grants.
Author of about 200 scientific articles, has copyright certificates for more than 20 databases and electronic developments. Author of 3 monographs, 3 textbooks, 1 study guide, 3 educational and methodological dictionaries, 1 scientific and methodological publication, 1 scientific and popular publication. The platform and databases created by M. Abjalova have attracted artificial intelligence specialists from Turkey, Kazakhstan, St. Petersburg and Kazan, and are contributing to the increase in visits of foreign partners to our republic in creating and popularizing linguistic programs for the Uzbek language to the world.
Her fields of interests are Computer and Corpus Linguistics, NLP, Applied Linguistics, Thesaurus and Ontology.
Zakaria Boumerzoug is a professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Biskra. He was the head of the mechanical engineering department at the University of Biskra from 1998 to 2004 and head of the metallurgy department at the University of Biskra from 2004 to 2009. Teacher at the University of Biskra, from 1992 until our days. He has organized one international conference and 13 national conferences and workshops. He is responsible for doctoral training in metallurgy. He supervised more than 30 doctoral students. He has published more than 90 research articles, four books (Metallic materials and their industrial applications, Welding of metallic materials, Wiredrawing of metallic materials, and Phase transformations in Metallic alloys), two book chapters, and edited one book (Advanced Materials Design and Mechanics) in the field of materials science. He has one patent. He led 10 national scientific projects and one international project with the University of Mons (Belgium). He has been a member and guest editor of some international conferences. He has participated in more than fifty international conferences as a participant ( with poster and oral presentations) and also as guest speaker.
Omid Khakpour is a researcher at Iskenderun Technical University, Türkiye. He received his Ph.D. in Optical Engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China, in 2022. He holds an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Solid State Physics. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus (METU NCC), Cyprus, where he also taught undergraduate courses, including Electromagnetic Waves, Circuit Theory, and Fundamentals of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
His research interests include optical and quantum metamaterials, quantum mechanics, quantum entanglement, quantum holographic data storage, holography, electromagnetic wave propagation, stimulated Brillouin scattering, electrostriction, and nonlinear optics. His work particularly emphasizes the theoretical and analytical investigation of quantum phenomena and the interaction of light with engineered materials. He has published research articles in peer-reviewed journals, presented his findings at international conferences, and mentored students in research and academic writing. His technical skills include MATLAB and Lumerical.
Dr. Muhammad Tajuddin Reduan is a mechanical engineer and internationally engaged researcher specialising in sustainable manufacturing, laser material processing and low-carbon engineering. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester, where his research pioneered energy-efficient laser de-coating methods aimed at reducing carbon emissions in high-impact tooling applications.
With over eight years of combined experience in higher education, applied research, and technical training across the UK and Southeast Asia, Dr. Tajuddin’s work bridges the gap between scientific innovation and real-world sustainability. A Fellow of Advance HE, Dr. Tajuddin combines technical rigour with academic leadership and is driven by a clear mission, which is to engineer cleaner, smarter and more sustainable systems that deliver measurable environmental impact.
Dr. Oğuzhan Akgöl is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Communication Engineering at United Arab Emirates University. He received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago. His research focuses on metamaterials, antennas, microwave engineering, electromagnetic sensing, and advanced electromagnetic materials. He has led and contributed to national research projects, developed patented sensing and measurement systems, and gained industry experience in antenna engineering and aerospace materials.
