Some Studies on the Sources of the Anatolian Saljuqids History and Manaqib-Names and Futuwwat-Names

Abstract

Among the studies made on the sources of the Anatolian Saljuqids history, the ones created by Fuad Koprulu, Mukrimin Halil Yinanc, Osman Turan and other historians should be examined carefully. In the meantime, young researchers are expected to reach the new sources. In fact, the inscriptions to be considered among the main sources of the Anatolian Saljuqids history still remain the reseach subject for the young generation. New sources might be added to them too. In addition, the present sources should be reinterpreted. In this article, we pointed out the importance of the Manaqib-names and the Futuwwat-names as examples for the Turkish history and especially the Anatolian Turkish culturel point of views, desire has been indicated to carry on similar studies
