A work of art must have content to be a work of art. Most carpets have contents in their design. They carry messages about religious and social subjects in their compositions and motifs. Carpets and kilims are symbolic art pieces. Everything has a reason and everything has a sense. A unique 120X180 cm Uşak praying rug in the Berlin Islamic Art Museum is a religious because of its art piece format and composition. Consequently, it carries a religious message.
