In this paper, it has been intented to establish a commentary on the struggle campaign by al-Mahdi against the zindiqs from the perspective of the Abbasid cultural policy. As it is reported by many classical Arabic scholars, religious groups in the Islamic cultural environments, called zindiq like the followers and partisans of Marcion, Bar Daysan and Mani had tried the translation of their religious literature from Aramaic and Persian to Arabic at the very beginning of the Abbasid rule. In the next stage they started writing works in Arabic as well as the religious announcement in the society on which their effects were appeared in many forms. No sooner had al-Mahdi became a caliph than he started a hard campaign against the zindiqs, their followers and partians. This campaign was realized on two basis. One was actual to prevent them from any activity, and the other was an oral and literary activity to fail the zindiqs' ideological thoughts. The campaign was carried out in accordance with the Abbasid literary movement based on the unification of the local cultural activites and powers. In brief, the zindiq activities under the Abbasid rule were a complete failure. Because, for instance, their ideology had no intellectual sufficiency and capacity to survive within the rapidly groving Arabic culture
