Comparison of Ecological Awareness and Green Consumption Habits of University Students by Different Variable Perspective: An Interactive Application
Abstract
That
research’s objective is to scrutinize the university students’ ecological
awareness and intention of buying ecological good. With that objective, via
social media, the survey was conducted with students from approximately 100
different universities. 768 students participated into survey. The result of survey
unearths that students’ ecological awareness is more than the students’
sensitivity of green consumption. Besides, students have more knowledge about
the recyclable sign that is on the packages compare to recycled sign. The
results show that the girls’ ecological awareness is higher than boys’.
According to students’ answers on survey questions, students were divided into
two groups which are low ecology awareness group and high ecology awareness
group; and that two groups’ green consumption habit was evaluated via MANOVA
analysis. According to analysis results, the students who have high ecological
awareness have more tendency on green consumption than the students who have
less ecological awareness.
