Yaratıcı Kentler ve Kentsel Yetenek Üzerine Bir Tartışma

Abstract

Günümüzde pek çok alanda
yaşanan gelişim ve dönüşüm süreci, kentlere de yansımakta ve süreklilik arz
eden bu süreçte insanı merkeze alan bir anlayış ön plana çıkmaktadır. Bu
anlayışta kentlerin yaratıcı bireylere daha çok önem vermesi ve bu bireylerin
kendini gerçekleştirerek daha inovatif ürünler üretebilmesi için onları motive
edecek ortamlar oluşturulması söz konusu olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada yaratıcı
bireylerin - yaratıcı kentler üzerindeki etkisi tartışılarak kentsel yeteneğin
keşfinin sağlanması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda öncelikle yaratıcı endüstri,
yaratıcı birey/sınıf ve yaratıcı kent kavramları ele alınmaktadır. Ardından
bunların karşılıklı etkileşimleri sonucunda ortaya çıkan “kentin yeteneği”
kavramı üzerinde durulmakta ve bu noktada kentsel kimlik olgusunun önemi
vurgulanmaktadır.

A Discussion on Creative Cities and City Talent

Abstract

Development and transformation process which is going on in many areas
nowadays reflects on the cities and a sense which takes person to central point
comes into prominence in this continuous period. In this sense, cities’ giving
more importance of creative individuals and creating environments that will
motivate them to product more innovative products by realizing themselves come
into question. In this study, providing of discovery of city talent is aimed by
discussing creative individuals on creative cities. Accordingly, creative
industry, creative individual/class and creative city concepts are studied
firstly. Then, “talent of city” concept which arises as a consequence of mutual
interactions of these is focused and in this point, importance of urban
identity concept is stressed.
