Abstract

Pop sanatçıları eserlerini; o gününün insanının her gün tükettiği yiyecekleri, sıradan nesneleri, insanlara yönelik düz, dolayımsız bir yaklaşımla oluşturmuşlardı. Nesnelerin boyut ve sergilendikleri ortamlar bakımından farklı bir bağlamda sunulması; bu nesnelerin, onları tüketen ve diğer yandan da izleyicisi olan kitlenin dikkatini çekse de moda olanın sürekli tekrarı, zamanla ilginçliğin kaybolmasına, ruhsal ve psikolojik derinlikten uzak bir hal almasına neden olmuştu. Oysa, Neo Pop akımında sunumlar, bu türden fiziki bir etkilemenin ötesinde; anlamların ve örtük ifadelerin çözümlenmesini bekler. Sanatçıların konu edindiği nesneler, kişiler, olaylar ve kavramlarla ilişkisi eleştireldir. Burada vurgu daha politik, provokatif, sosyal ilişkilerden kopmayan, kavramsal ve bu konulara farkındalık getiren bir boyuttadır.

POST-POP POP; NEO POP

Abstract

Pop artists used to produce their work; everyday food consumed by the people of that time and ordinary objects with a straight and direct approach toward people. Even though the presentation of the objects in a different context in terms of their dimensions and environments where they were displayed attracted the attention of the mass that was consuming and following the objects to them; the constant repetition of those in vogue had caused the interestingness to disappear and get estranged from spiritual and psychological depth in the course of time. On the other hand, presentations in the Neo Pop movement expect the resolution of meanings and implicit statements beyond such a physical influence. The objects used by artists as a theme have a critical relationship with individuals, events and concepts. The emphasis here is rather political, provocative, attached to social relations, conceptual and it raises an awareness of these subjects.
