The Opinions of Teachers Working in Imam Hatip Secondary Schools about Discipline Problems

Abstract














This
paper is a qualitative survey work. Aims to determine the opinions of teachers
on class and school discipline. It is put forth in this paper; the opinions of
teachers about the most frequent problems in classrooms, the source of these
problems, the solution suggestions about these problems, evaluations on the
effectiveness of the solutions and the
recommendations for the prevention of discipline
problems in schools. The most basic problem is appeared as student’s talking in
classroom without permission. To solve this problem interaction with parents
suggested by teachers. Teachers generally think that the methods of discipline
they applied are effective. The cooperation between parents, student and school
is suggested the most effective way of preserving school discipline.

Abstract














Araştırma,
tasvir metodunun anket tekniği kullanılarak yapılmış nitel bir çalışmadır. Öğretmenlerin
sınıf ve okul disiplini sağlanmasına yönelik görüşlerini tespit etmeyi
amaçlamıştır. Sınıf içerisinde en sık karşılaşılan problemler, problemlerin
kaynağı, problemlere yönelik uygulanılan çözüm yöntemleri, bu yöntemlerin
etkinliğine dönük değerlendirmeler ve disiplin problemlerinin önlenmesine
yönelik öneriler bu çalışmada öğretmenlerin görüşleri çerçevesinde ortaya
koyulmuştur. En temel problem öğrencilerin sınıfta izinsiz konuşmaları olarak
tespit edilmiş, çözüm önerisi olarak velilerle irtibata geçmek ve öğrencilerin
uyarılması ön plana çıkmıştır. Öğretmenler genellikle uyguladıkları disiplin
yöntemlerinin etkin olduğunu düşünmektedirler. Çalışmada, aile, öğrenci ve öğretmen
işbirliğinin okul disiplini sağlamada önemli bir faktör olduğu düşüncesinin
öğretmenler tarafından en fazla dile getirilen husus olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
