Memory Conformity
Abstract
The aim of this study is to present the main outlines of various researches in the litera- ture about memory conformity and to give an idea for the studies that might be conducted in the future. Studies in the relevant literature have been compiled in terms of the ways in which memory conformity emerges, the influences of social effects (normative and infor- mative), the situation of the true and false information, the recalled material and the effects of personality on conformity. We also mentioned the positive effects of conformity and ways of preventing the effect of memory conformity. In the conclusion and the proposal section, the points which attract attention to the subject are mentioned, and the proposals for the future studies are presented.
