Memory Conformity

Abstract

The aim of this study is to present the main outlines of various researches in the litera- ture about memory conformity and to give an idea for the studies that might be conducted in the future. Studies in the relevant literature have been compiled in terms of the ways in which memory conformity emerges, the influences of social effects (normative and infor- mative), the situation of the true and false information, the recalled material and the effects of personality on conformity. We also mentioned the positive effects of conformity and ways of preventing the effect of memory conformity. In the conclusion and the proposal section, the points which attract attention to the subject are mentioned, and the proposals for the future studies are presented.

Bellekte Uyma Davranışı

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, bellekte uyma konusu üzerine yapılmış literatürdeki çeşitli araş- tırmaların derlenmesiyle konunun ana hatlarının sunulması ve bellekte uyma konusuyla ilişkili dikkat çeken noktaların öne çıkarılarak, gelecekte konu ile ilgili yapılabilecek ça- lışmalara fikir vermesidir. Konuyla ilgili literatürdeki çalışmalar, bellekte uymanın ortaya çıkış yöntemleri, sebep olan sosyal etkiler (normatif ve enformatif), doğru ve yanlış bilginin uymadaki durumu, işbirliği yapılan partnerin, hatırlanılan materyalin ve bireysel özelliklerin uyma üzerindeki etkileri açısından derlenmiştir. Ayrıca bellekte uyma etkisini engellemek amacıyla yapılan uygulamalardan ve uymanın olumlu etkilerinden bahsedilmiştir. Sonuç ve öneri kısmında, konuyla ilgili dikkat çeken noktalara değinilerek ileride konuyla ilgili yapılabilecek çalışmalar için önerilere yer verilmiştir.
