Abstract
Abstract: The text of the 'Risale-i Sad Pend' by Ubeyd-i Zakanî from the Persian Scholar of the fourteenth century contains advice from different subjects. It is different from other pendnames in that it accommodates ironic elements in it. In this text, Ubeyd criticizes misunderstandings in the society he lived in. Even if it is not directly described, the traces of a life understanding in which the scholar, whose face turns to life and living in the taste of life, idealizes can be seen in this work.
In the Sad Pend (Ritual), there are criticisms about people belonging to almost every layer of the society. In this work of 'Ubeyd', who says words about women and marriage, which need to be explained so much, as well as about highly political, judicial and religious representatives, the emphasis on the life of the Hereafter, which prevails in other texts of advice, is not clearly seen. In the background of Ubayd's criticism, it can be said that the traces of sincerity and righteousness that he pursues are traceable.
