Based on the assumption that "language is an effective element in the construction of reality", it will be analized what Arabic means about 'child' and 'child-related concepts' based on their own internal possibilities in this study. Within this framework, considering the historical references, the relationship between 'language' and 'thought' will be emphasized and terms such as ‘wording’, ‘meaning’, ‘conception’, ‘sense’ and ‘reference’ will be explained within the proportion of their relevance of the topic. In addition to these terms, in order to encompass the subject, tangible-natural conditions in which language emerges; intellectual and literary orientations of culture in which language develops; variables such as being influenced by other nearby and distant cultures and civilizations will also be considered. The main focus will be on the potential and inner-logic the langauge itself supports. Altough as language is a dynamic structure, it’s historical development, evolution and transformation will also be taken into account within the boundaries of the subject. To fullfil this purpose, first and foremost the ‘conception of language’ in the history of Arabic lingustics will be addressed; subsequently how ‘the relationship between language and truth’ is will be touched upon. Within the established theoretical framework, the words which form the conception of ‘children’ in Arabic will be discussed using classic words being ‘regarding existing’; ‘regarding biology’; ‘regarding the material environment’; ‘regarding the spiritual environment’. Taking into consideration the knowledge of the root of the words, Arabic as a form of comprehension and the place of ‘children’ and ‘concepts about children’ within this comprehension will be emphasised.
