KISMİ SIRALI HAUSDORFF UZAYLARINDA FAYDA FONKSİYONLARININ VARLIĞI

Abstract

ÖZET

Klasik mikro iktisadi analizin temel konularından biri, bireye ait kısmi sıralı

seçim kümesinde, ilgili sıralamayı koruyan ve kesin artan özel bir fonksiyon olan

fayda fonksiyonlarının varlığını araştırmaktır. Bu fonksiyonların yardımıyla, bireye

ait fayda düzeyi ifade edilmekte ve çeşitli kısıtlar altında bireyin optimal refah

düzeyinde olup olmadığı gözlenebilmektedir. Tüm bu analizler ise n 'de tanımlı

standart topoloji üzerinde gerçekleştirilir. Bu çalışmada ilgili analiz daha genel bir

topolojik uzay olan Hausdorff uzaylarına genişletilmiş ve bu uzaylarda fayda fonksiyonlarının

varlığı gösterilmiştir.

ABSTRACT

THE EXISTENCE OF UTILITY FUNCTIONS FOR PARTIALLY

ORDERED HAUSDORFF SPACES

One of the themes of classical micro economical analysis is to study the existence

of utility functions which are order preserved and strictly increasing special

functions for partially ordered individual's choice set. With the help of these functions

it is possible to express individual's utility level and to observe whether an individual

is in optimal welfare level under various constraints. All these analyses are

performed based on standard topology defined in n . In this study the mentioned

analysis is expanded to a broader topological space, Hausdorff spaces, and the existence

of utility functions in Hausdorff spaces is pointed out.
